Alpine U6/U8

The Alpine U6/U8 program is designed to introduce young athletes to the fundamentals of alpine ski racing in a fun, supportive, and team-oriented environment. Athletes will focus on developing strong skiing fundamentals, balance, coordination, confidence, and mountain awareness through freeskiing, drills, and introductory gate training. Racers will participate in recreational home races designed to build confidence, sportsmanship, and a love for the sport. · Training takes place Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM out of the Summit Lodge. The season runs from 12/12/26 through 2/28/27, weather and terrain dependent. · New athletes are subject to a tryout evaluation prior to program acceptance. · Athletes must maintain current U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association (PARA) memberships. Membership fees are separate from Blue Mountain program tuition. · US Ski & Snowboard age classifications are based on the athlete’s age as of 12/31/26. Eligible birth years for this program are: o U6: athletes born in 2021 (must be age 5 by 12/31/26) o U8: athletes born in 2019–2020

Alpine - U10

The Alpine U10 program focuses on building strong technical skiing skills while introducing athletes to more structured race training and competition. Athletes will participate in recreational home races, with select athletes attending travel races based on coach recommendation and readiness. · Training takes place Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM out of the Summit Lodge. The season runs from 12/12/26 through 2/28/27, weather and terrain dependent. · New athletes are subject to a tryout evaluation prior to program acceptance. · Athletes must maintain current U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association (PARA) memberships. Membership fees and race entries are separate from Blue Mountain program tuition. · US Ski & Snowboard age classifications are based on the athlete’s age as of 12/31/26: o U10: athletes born in 2017–2018

Alpine - U12

The Alpine U12 program continues athlete development through advanced technical training, race tactics, and structured competition in slalom and giant slalom. Athletes will compete in recreational home races and regional travel races throughout the season. · Training takes place Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM out of the Summit Lodge. The season runs from 12/12/26 through 2/28/27, weather and terrain dependent. · New athletes are subject to a tryout evaluation prior to program acceptance. · Athletes must maintain current U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Pennsylvania Alpine Racing Association (PARA) memberships. Membership fees and race entries are separate from Blue Mountain program tuition. · US Ski & Snowboard age classifications are based on the athlete’s age as of 12/31/26: o U12: athletes born in 2015–2016

Alpine Ski - U14

The U14 Program is for alpine skiers ages 12 and 13 as of 12/31/24 that are interested in advancing their racing skills. Athletes will compete in sanctioned events competing against others that race in Pennsylvania. Athletes that have an established US Ski profile with at least one full season of racing history are eligible for this program. Athletes must be interviewed and evaluated prior to enrolling in this program. Any participant new to the program will be subject to tryouts at the beginning of the program. Program is scheduled to start Dec 14, 2024* and run every Saturday and Sunday through Feb 23, 2025. Participants must attend both weekend sessions. Training times are 8:00a to 1:00p. Race days start earlier and can run all day. Athletes are responsible for maintaining an active USSS membership and away race fees and lift tickets. A Season Pass is required to participate in the program. *Program start on-snow is dependent on Mountain having adequate terrain open.

Alpine Ski - U16

The U16 Program is for alpine skiers ages 14 and 15 as of 12/31/24. Athletes in this age class race at a high level of competition in a series of 7 races across the State of Pennsylvania. Some athletes may qualify to race at regional and national events. These athletes compete on challenging race courses on difficult terrain. Candidates must have an established US Ski racing profile with one or more seasons of racing history. Athletes must be evaluated by Blue Mountain coaching staff to enroll. Any participant new to the program will be subject to tryouts at the beginning of the program. Program is scheduled to start Dec 14, 2024* and run every Saturday and Sunday through Feb 23, 2025. Participants must attend both weekend sessions. Training times are 8:00a to 1:00p. Race days start earlier and can run all day. Athletes are responsible for maintaining an active USSS membership and away race costs including race fees, lift tickets, travel, and lodging. A Season Pass is required to participate in the program. *Program start on-snow is dependent on Mountain having adequate terrain open.

The U18/U21 Program is for serious alpine competitors ages 16 to 20 as of 12/31/2024. Athletes in this age class race at a high level of competition in a series of 8 races across the State of Pennsylvania. Some athletes may qualify to race at regional and national events. These athletes compete on challenging race courses on difficult terrain. Athletes must have an established US Ski racing profile with multiple seasons of race history. Candidates must be evaluated by Blue Mountain coaching staff to enroll. Any participant new to the program will be subject to tryouts at the beginning of the program. Program is scheduled to start Dec 14, 2024* and run every Saturday and Sunday through Feb 23, 2025. Participants must attend both weekend sessions. Training times are 8:00a to 1:00p. Race days start earlier and can run all day. Athletes are responsible for maintaining an active USSS membership and away race costs including race fees, lift tickets, travel, and lodging. At this level, an FIS license may be required depending on the level of competition. A Season Pass is required to participate in the program. *Program start on-snow is dependent on Mountain having adequate terrain open.
